Invisalign
A beautiful, straight smile starts from here. They Would Never Know. Want straight teeth but you do not like the metallic look of braces? Invisalign is the right option for you!
Invisalign
These are removable clear plastic aligners that you wear throughout the day to get straighter teeth. You can wear them without the fear of causing any social awkwardness.
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment system that comprises various removable clear customized plastic trays called aligners, that are worn by the patient to help straighten their teeth. This treatment system is very different from the traditional braces that are known to cause discomfort to the patient. With Invisalign, your aesthetics are not compromised as the clear plastic trays are not visible at all. These trays are to be worn at all times, and only to be taken off at the time of drinking or eating. The purpose of these trays is to help transform a crooked smile into a straight beautiful smile.
Why choose Invisalign?
- Traditional braces require the patient to see their dentist more frequently, due to the tightening of the wires than Invisalign. With Invisalign, you just have to switch from one tray to the next.
- Traditional braces require the brackets to be bonded to the tooth surface. This causes plaque to accumulate around it, causing damage to your tooth surface. This is not the case with Invisalign.
- Eating crunchy and sticky foods is problematic with traditional braces, whereas you can take off the Invisalign tray to eat whatever you want.
- Traditional braces have wires that can cause extreme discomfort and pain if they poke the soft tissues. If the wire breaks, you would have to visit the dentist.

Caring For Invisalign
Since aligners are removable, it is easier to maintain good oral hygiene. You can remove your aligners and brush and floss your teeth just like you would normally. You must brush your aligners and clean them with lukewarm water, or even use the Invisalign cleaning kit to ensure your aligners are clean.
You must never use hot water to clean your aligners as that would distort the shape of the plastic. In case this happens, you must call our office immediately. If you notice any cracks or damage in your aligners, you must call the office right away as a damaged aligner will not do its job, and will slow down the treatment progress.
After eating, you must brush your teeth before outing your aligners back on. This is important as this would prevent the bacteria from getting trapped in between your teeth and the aligner.
If you are interested in aligners, please contact our office to schedule an appointment.
